The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare announced that seniors fared well in the omnibus budget bill. Programs that showed increased funding, or did not have a budget cut, include the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), LIHEAP, Meals on Wheels, and a whole host of others.
