On Tuesday, Serena Williams defeated Alison Riske in the Wimbledon quarterfinals with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win — moving one step closer to what could be her 24th career Grand Slam singles title.
Williams rallied to break Riske in the third set. Riske, 29, was making her first trip ever to the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event.
The 37-year-old Williams will face Barbora Strýcová in the semifinal round Thursday.
